1. Community Manager ::: Job Description

1.1 We are looking for a qualified Community manager to join our marketing team! If you are a self-driven and ambitious tech-savvy professional we would love to meet you! We are expecting you to be experienced in social media, PR and promotional events.

1.2 Our ideal candidate should have good oral and written communication skills. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations with our community.

1.3 Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage all community communications, sales and marketing. This will require that you act as a front desk personnel at our office.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

2.1 While every day as a Community Manager at Devamplify is different, this is what the role’s and responsibilities will include:

  • 1. Events and event planning – attending industry events in our city and planning meetups for the Devamplify community.
  • 2. Public relations – managing incoming media requests and building relationships with industry journalists; creating, executing and measuring media campaigns.
  • 3. Customer relations – the Community Manager will be responsible for customer support – answering questions however they come in (phone, e-mail, Twitter) and managing any online feedback forums.
  • 4. Communications/marketing strategy – the Community Manager is responsible for creating strategic marketing/communications plans to provide direction for our public-facing communications.
  • 5. Analytics – Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
  • 6. Business development – The Community Manager will also be responsible for business development and sales.

3. Requirements


3.2 Professionalism and interpersonal aplomb.

3.3 Organized, attention to detail and ability to multitask.

3.4 Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

3.5 Able to work flexible schedule.

3.6 Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, creating and managing events).

3.7 Hands on experience with social media management for self or brands.

3.8 Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels.
